Between the snow falls and the fog the glorious views of the snow -capped fells have disappeared along with the Solway !!
One of Andrews first jobs of today was to throw random scatterings of industrial strength grit on the steps and pathways to prevent a human game of skittles happening with the other staff. No major injuries to report although the back catalogue of John Cleese's Ministry of Silly Walks had a good run for its money!!
